Obituary of Barbara Kathleen Lohnes
LOHNES, Barbara Kathleen – Age 89, of Branch LaHave, Lunenburg Co., passed away Monday, February 3rd, 2025 in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater.
Born in New Germany, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Lena (Crouse) Leary.
Barbara is survived by her children, Rosalee Wagner, Branch LaHave, and Ronald, Digby; grandchildren, Terry (Cathy) Wagner, Tina (Jeremy) Chipper, Ashley (Brandon) Bolivar, and Chad Leary; great-grandchildren, Gary Wagner, Sally Wagner, Zackary Chipper, and Molly Chipper; sister, Emily (Ralph) Ritchie; brother, Ellison (Shirley) Leary; sister-in-law, Mary Leary; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Victor; son, Gary; son-in-law, Gary Wagner; sisters, Betty and Rosalee; and brothers, Rennie, Henry, and Franklin.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Barbara will be held 1 p.m., Saturday August 2nd, 2025 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, followed by an interment in Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave. Family flowers only please, and donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Hope For Wildlife, or to a charity of your choice.
