Obituary of Adele Inez Herman

Adele Inez Herman - Age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Queens Manor, Liverpool, NS.  Born on August 31, 1932, in Broad Cove, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Udavilla (Smith) Reinhardt.

Adele had a rare gift for laughter and life. She had a sharp wit, a warm smile, and a playful sense of humour that made everyone around her feel welcome. She found joy in teasing those she loved most — always with kindness and affection.

Family was the heart of her world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she took great pride in caring for those close to her. Adele enjoyed sharing family stories from years gone by.

Adele worked at MT&T for 27 years in Halifax. A  member of the United Church and the Young at Heart Seniors group, she was an active member of the Broad Cove community.

She leaves behind her sons, Gary (Shelley), Broad Cove; Robert, Dartmouth; grandson, Nathan, Dartmouth; and countless memories that will be cherished forever.

She was predeceased by husband, Edsel; brother, Homer (Marguerite), and sister, Melba (Eric).

Our family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the dedicated staff at Queens Manor for the compassionate and loving care they provided to our mother during her time there. Your kindness, patience, and gentle support brought her comfort, and gave our family peace of mind knowing she was in such capable and caring hands.

The family will be holding a private graveside service on July 30, 2025 in Broad Cove.
