Obituary of Wayne Douglas Eichel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Wayne Douglas Eichel, age 79, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

He was the eldest son of Douglas and Ruby Eichel, formerly of Bridgewater.

He is survived by the love of his life and partner, Debby Andersen; son, Derek (Danielle), BC; daughter, Tina (Greg), Bridgewater; step son, Jeff (Jan), Hubley; step daughter, Nicole, Halifax; step son, Christian, Halifax; grandchildren, Dominique, Dylan, Ryley and Justin; sister, Karen (John), Cookville; and several nieces and cousins; special mention to his best friends, Bobby Woodworth and Murray Heim.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, David and nephew, Corey.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A private interment of ashes will take pace at a later date in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.

No flowers please, donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre or a charity of choice.
