Obituary of Linda Marie Sproule

Sproule, Linda Marie - Age 75, of Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield on September 22, 1950, she was the daughter of Eugene Donald and Isabelle Lona (Whynot) Burgoyne.

Linda shared her life with her devoted husband, Arden, whose love and partnership were the foundation of her family. She also held a lifelong bond with her sister and best friend, Susan, a relationship filled with laughter, stories, and unshakable closeness.

Linda lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a woman whose heart beat strongest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren—her pride, her joy, and her greatest legacy. Nothing brought her more happiness than listening to their laughter, celebrating their milestones, and watching them grow.

Linda will be remembered for her warm hugs, her gentle wisdom, and the way she always had time to make each grandchild feel special. Her home was a place of comfort, her table always open, and her arms always ready to hold the ones she loved.

Beyond her family, Linda found happiness in the things that made life rich and beautiful. She adored her loyal dogs, who were never far from her side. She loved her land and took comfort in tending her gardens, finding peace among the flowers and the soil. A cup of tea was often in her hand, a Schooner beer enjoyed in good company, and her fierce strength reflected in the deep connection she had with the place she called home.

Linda leaves behind a large and loving family, including her husband of 38 years, Arden Nelson Sproule; daughters, Tammy (Jackson) Naugler, Wanda (Gregory) Demone, Cindy Sproule, and Robin (Daniel) Simms; son, Derek (Crystal) Naugler; grandchildren, Candis (Jason) Whynot, Keshia (Jason) Stevens, Shawn (Danielle) Naugler, Tommy Lohnes, Amy (Luke) Nelson, Tyler (Alicia) Robar, Jay Naugler, Bradley (Jodie) Lepine, Emily (Ilan) Lepine, and Adam (Emily) Simms; great-grandchildren, Zander Whynot, Kaden Whynot, Chase Whynot, Jazlyn Whynot, Paityn Stevens, Cole Nelson, Isabelle Nelson, Levi Nelson, James Robar, Joshua Lepine, Noah Lepine, Ivy Simms, and Lainey Simms; sisters, Susan (Colleen) Daniels, Christine (David) Whynott, and Kim (Kelly) Veinot; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brothers, Brian, Roland, Ross, and Leonard.

A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held at the Springfield Fire Hall at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 4th, 2025, followed by a private family interment. Donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or the Canadian Lung Association.
