Obituary of Janice Pauline Holland

HOLLAND, Janice Pauline - Age 76 of Watford, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Shoreham Village Nursing Home, Chester, where she has been residing for the past several years. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Vera (Veinot) Beck.

Janice loved her family, and she took great pride in raising her sons and looking after her family. She had a passion for travel, from scenic drives around the province to vacations in the Caribbean. Janice enjoyed being in the kitchen, particularly cooking and baking for family and friends and taking any opportunity to host a good party. She had a love for pets and animals, especially cats and dogs, but also birds and squirrels. During her working years, she was a laboratory technologist at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, from where she retired.

Surviving is her husband, Larry Wade Holland, Watford; son, Kevin (Waleska) Holland, and her granddaughter, Paulina Holland, all of Texas; son, Matthew (Tara) Holland, Fredericton; sister, Linda (Donald) Durling, and their family, all of Sydney.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A public graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield, with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. Flowers from the immediate family only please, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada or Shoreham Village Nursing Home.
