Obituary of Grant Crouse

Grant Moreau Crouse 82, of Bridgewater, formerly of Crousetown, Lunenburg County, passed away May 15, 2001 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in West Dublin, he was the son of the late Everett and Evelyn (Mosher) Crouse. He served for 4 years in the army with the 1st Survey Regiment RCA. He operated a sawmill in Crousetown for over 40 years until he retired. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn “Peggy”; a son James (June), Dartmouth; a daughter Christine (George) Knickle, Hatchet Lake; a stepson Edward (Kim) Corkum, Cookville; a stepdaughter Carolyn (Wayne) Holden, Jordan Falls; grandchildren Carlene and Greg. He was predeceased by his first wife, Annie Oakes. A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday in the United Church Cemetery, Crousetown, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. There will be no visitation in the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, the Shriners or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
