Obituary of Mildred Wamboldt

Mildred Viola Wamboldt 67, of Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, passed away August 10, 2002 in the Q E II Health Sciences Center, Halifax Infirmary site, Halifax. Born in New Russell, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Viola (Lantz) Walker. She was a very active member of the Pleasantville Baptist Church, serving on various church committees. She taught school in various locations in Lunenburg County, but is best remembered for her many years at the Bridgewater Elementary School. She was very involved in her community, through her participation in numerous associations and groups. She is survived by a daughter, Heather (Scott) Greenough, Pentz; a son, Harvey (Sharon Northup) Wamboldt, Enfield; a granddaughter, Lauren Greenough; sisters, Helen (Ainslie) Publicover, Burlington, Ontario; Alice Beck, New Ross; Shirley Sarty, Dartmouth; a brother Dean (Ceretha) Walker, Windsor. She was predeceased by her husband, Earle; sister, Eunice Nauss; brothers, Harry Walker, Gordon Walker, Hazen Walker. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday in the Pleasantville Baptist Church. Rev. David Hine officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. A reception will follow. Family flowers only.
