Leslie Stephen Wile
84, of Lower Branch, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in the Veterans Unit of the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Wileville, he was a son of the late Fred and Vera (Oickle) Wile. He was a veteran of the Second World War having served overseas as a Lance Corporal. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Rafuse); son, Stephen (Niki), Alberta; daughters, Holly (Mike) Smith, Midville Branch; Margo (Bill) Dooley, Cherry Hill; Sandra (Clifford) Slauenwhite, Italy Cross; stepson, Charles Zwicker, Bridgewater; stepdaughters, Jeanette (Peter) Jefferson, Hebbville; Wendy (Gary) Feindel, Brooklyn; Trudy (Derrick) Langille, Pleasantville; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Daniel “Buddy” (Joan) Wile, Wileville; sisters, Betty Northrup, Lunenburg; Linda (Ross) Publicover, Burlington, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lettie (Zwicker); granddaughter, Kandi Smith; stepson, Patrick Zwicker; sisters, Lena Smith, Bernice in infancy, Edith Hoyt-Gillingham and a brother, Max. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday in St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. James Slack Jr. officiating. Internment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Veterans Unit of the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg or the charity of your choice.
