Obituary of Mildred Fiendel

Mildred Feindel Of Bridgewater, passed away July 29, 2001 in the Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Winfred and Bessie Ritcey. Mildred had been actively involved in the Bridgewater United Church through teaching Sunday School, Mission Band, and C.G.I.T. She was a Brownie and Girl Guide leader, active in the town Choral Society, the I.O.D.E. LaHave Chapter for 30 years; a graduate of Mount Allison University in fine arts; an accomplished painter, and as a parent lovingly engaged her children in similar activities. Mildred will be sadly missed by son John ( Sylvia), Calgary, Alberta; daughter Susan (Russell Barton), Chester Basin; sister Judy, Worcester, Mass.; grandchildren Ksenia, Adrianna, Desmond, Avril; great grandchild Lilliwyn. She was predeceased by her husband Glendon and a sister Francis. A memorial service will be held 1:30pm Thursday in the Bridgewater United Church, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, Mildred and family wish memorial donations to be given to the Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. There will be no visitation in the funeral home by request. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
