Obituary of Kendall Smith
Kendall Gail "Kelli" Smith
37, Bridgewater, N. S., on December 6, 2001 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, after a long battle with cancer, Kelli passed away peacefully with family members at her side. Kelli lived and attended schools in Thorburn, Pictou and Bridgewater, N. S.. She graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Always loving literature and music, people and laughter, Kelli entered sales in 1983. After working at Classics, Entitlement, Coles and her favourites J.W. Doull Books and TAZ Records, she set up and managed the Bridgewater A. V. E. Entertainment Store. Due to ill health, Kelli resigned in February 2001 in order to devote her full time and energy to her two daughters, Hannah Celeste, age 7 and Cicely Martine, age 5, who were her PRIDE and JOY. Kelli will be sadly missed by her daughters; her parents, Gary C. and Barbara J. (Green) Smith of Bridgewater; her sister, Shelli, brother-in-law Jack, nephews Brian and Adam “Bede” MacEwen, Weston, N.S.; her sister Kim, brother-in-law Bruce, niece Manda-Lynn Murray, Seafoam, N.S.; great nieces Destiny and Kayla; great nephew John Benjamin; her paternal grandmother Helen Smith, Fredericton, N.B.; as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends the world over. Following cremation, there will be a private interment for immediate family only. A memorial service for family, extended family and friends will tentatively be held on the anniversary of Kelli’s birth, January 26, 2002 at her residence in Wileville, house 475 St Phillips St.. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any youth help program, the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity through Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater or at www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
