Obituary of Mary Himmelman

Mary Cecelia Himmelman 93, of Bridgewater, passed away September 17, 2003 in the Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Riverport, she was a daughter of the late Capt. E. Freeman and Edith (Myra) Himmelman. After high school, she trained as a nurse in Boston, Mass. and upon graduation, she did private duty nursing in Boston. Mary was an adherent of the United Church of Canada. She was very active in the Bridgewater Seniors Citizens where she served as President and organized bus tours to Yarmouth, Halifax and the Valley for the club. She is survived by sisters, Marguerite Himmelman and June Cooper, both of Bridgewater. She was predeceased by sister, Pearl; brothers, Henry, Robert and James in infancy. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Immediate family flowers only.
