Obituary of Burleigh Oickle

Burleigh James Oickle 80, of Cookville, Lunenburg County, passed away November 10, 2003 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Albert and Stella (Hubley) Oickle. He was a member of both the Lunenburg County Fiddlers Club and the Bridgetown Fiddlers Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie Barnes; a daughter, Connie (Peter) Carter and granddaughter Keisha, all of Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Rex, Donald, Vernon and Lawrence. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 1:30pm Thursday in the Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Pastor Morris Mills and Rev. Lawson Arenburg officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or the charity of your choice.
