Obituary of Pauline Sarty

Pauline Doris Sarty 82, Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully February 13, 2003 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leda (Ramey) Joudrey. She was employed at the Dawson Memorial Hospital in Bridgewater as a switchboard operator and receptionist until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, making quilts and crafts. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clayton; a daughter, Patricia (Franklin) d’Entremont, Brookside, Halifax County; grandchildren, Marc and Nicole; a brother, Charles “Roy” (Sheila) Joudrey, Borgal’s Point; a sister, Shirlee Pidgeon, Campbellford, Ont.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Joudrey, Conquerall Bank; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Joudrey; a sister, Ruth in infancy. A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday in Sweeny’s Funeral chapel, Bridgewater. There will be a reception to follow in the Holy Trinity Parish Hall Bridgewater. Burial will take place at a later date in the Pleasantville Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetic Association of N.S., Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater or the charity of your choice.
