Obituary of Jean Stevens

Jean Ilene Stevens 72, Labelle, Queens Co., passed away March 4, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in LaHave, November 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Lillian Beck. Surviving are her husband, Cecil; daughters, Brenda (Brian) Fortune, Dartmouth; Wendy (Len) Snook, Gander, NL; sons, Peter (Wendy) Wilkins, Quispamsis; Jeff (companion Vickie) Wilkins, Bridgewater; stepdaughter, Mary (Darren) Hilchey, Beaver Bank; sister, Barbara Spindler, Lunenburg; brothers, Ron (Joan) Beck, Mesquite, Tex.; Ross (Pat) Beck, London, Ont.; grandchildren, Terri Lynn (David), Jennifer (Craig), Angela (James), Miranda, Adam, Jillian, Shannon, Christian, Melissa, Zackery; great- grandchildren, Abigail and Kamdyn. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. An avid gardener with a great love of puzzles of all kinds, which were some of her passions besides her loving family that brought her great pride and joy. A wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place under the direction of C.F. Sweeny Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, in C.F. Sweeny Funeral Home, Bridgewater. No visitation by request. Family flowers only.
