Obituary of John Wells

John Joseph "Joe" Wells 75, of Pentz, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly on February 6, 2003 in Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, after a short illness. He was born in Terranceville, Fortune Bay, NFLD, and he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Cox) Wells. He was employed by Imperial Oil until retirement in 1984. He was an avid fly fisherman who loved to fish the Ecum Secum River. He is survived by his wife , Shirley (Taylor); son Michael (Pamela) Timberlea; daughters Elizabeth, Calgary; Lisa Thomas, Calgary; Shelley, Fredericton; step-daughters Gail Veinot, Summerside; Sharon (Don) Selig, Hammonds Plains; Valerie (David) Hayward, Bridgewater; Carolyn (Edward) Llewellyn, Italy Cross; 5 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Marie, Nfld. He was predeceased by a son Joseph; brothers, Stan, Clarence; sisters, Mary , Josephine. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater and from where memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Willis Ott officiating.
