Arabelle (Belle) Charlton
98, Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away Thursday, January 15, 2004 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, where she had been residing. Born in Lake Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Conrad) Sproule. She was a faithful member of the Springfield United Baptist Church, Springfield and New Horizons Seniors Club, New Germany Past member of the Ernest S. Mason W.M.S.; Springfield Fire Department Firettes, and a past member of the former Linden Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her daughter Isabel (Richard) Andrews, Waverley. Son, Howard (Lois) Charlton, New Germany and daughter in law Vivian Charlton, Lake Pleasant. Sister, Amy Saunders, Dartmouth. Grandchildren, Clifton (Pat) Charlton, Bruce (Gail) Charlton, Eric Charlton, Alan (Cathy) Andrews, Carson (Trisha) Andrews, Christina (Bryan) Johnson, Karen (Robin) Wentzell, Iris (Ray) Meisner. 9 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanely Charlton; son, Laurie; brothers, Walter, Ansel, Murray, Clarence and three in infancy. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 11 a.m., Monday in Springfield United Baptist Church, Springfield. Pastor Robert Gates officiating and Rev. Brian Wheaton assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Springfield United Baptist Church Cemetery or Dykeland Lodge, Windsor.
