Obituary of Lester Hirtle

Lester Aden Hirtle 78, of Wileville, Lunenburg County, passed away March 3, 2001 in Oliver, British Columbia. Born in Lapland, he was a son of the late G. Elijah and Alice L. (Zwicker) Hirtle. He is survived by 3 sons, E. John, Oliver, B.C.; Patrick, Wileville; Brian, Calgary, Alberta; 2 daughters, Martha Hogenson, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Brenda Capp, Milboro, Virginia; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ervin, Wileville; George, Lapland; 3 sisters, Greta Herman, Italy Cross; Georgina Wamback, Bridgewater; Arleen Hebb, Conquerall Bank; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Merna C. Wile; a son David Lester; 5 brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday in the Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Aberdeen Rd., Bridgewater, Bishop Herb Seymour officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Lapland. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Bridgewater.
