Obituary of Laverne Joudrey

LaVerne Genevieve Joudrey 62, New Germany, Lunenburg County., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005 at home. Born in Bridgewater, she was the eldest daughter of the late Clinton and Mavis (Corkum) Veinotte. LaVerne was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. She had a great love for gardening as well as frogs. She was an Avon representative for many years; she also enjoyed camping, attending social teas and Christian Women’s Group. Surviving are daughters, Shelley (Jeff) Langille, Barss Corner; Mercedis (Paul) MacKinnon, Upper Branch. Son, Avan (Lisa) Joudrey, New Germany. Grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Michelle, Emma and Alex. Sister, Linda (Art) Brown, Robinsons Corner. Visitation 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Tuesday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Family burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. Donations may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany.
