Obituary of Christine MacIntosh Langille

of Christine MacIntosh Langille 90, of Bridgewater, passed away November 29, 2008 at home. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Rev. John Phillip and Margaret (McLellan) MacIntosh. Christine was educated at the Brookfield School, Truro Academy and Mount Allison University. She graduated in the nursing program at the Royal Victoria Hospital Montreal and the Public Health Nursing Program at the University of Western Ontario. McGill University awarded her a Degree in Nursing. She worked at the Child Health Association in Montreal before moving back to Nova Scotia to serve the Department of Health at Sheet Harbour and Bridgewater. She was a longtime member of the Bridgewater United Church, a choir member and life member of the United Church Women. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles, playing bridge and travel abroad with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Earle; son, Peter (wife Evelyn) and grandchildren, Morgan, Durham and Perrin. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday in the Bridgewater United Church, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. A reception will follow in the C E C Center. Private family burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request. Family flowers only.
