Obituary of Violet Montgomery

Violet Julia May Montgomery Of Bridgewater, passed away Monday, Oct.31, 2005 at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Bridgewater on the Armistice, Nov.11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William and Nettie (Conrad) Foley, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, she was a member of the United Baptist Church and Group IV. She is survived by her children, Robert (Bev MacDonald) and Heather, both of Bridgewater; grandson Darren (Erin) Frelick, Timberlea, and many special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, R.E. (Honey )Montgomery; sisters Gladys Boudreau, Beatrice Kennedy, Evelyn Ramey, Grace Wilkie, Marjorie Oakes; brothers Reginald, Lester, Burlen and Douglas Foley. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral service will be held Thursday 11am from the Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C. F. Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
