Obituary of Reta Bustin

Reta Esther Bustin 88, Cambridge, Kings Co. and formerly of Bridgewater and Yarmouth died Friday, September 28 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Pleasantville, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther (Neal) Sarty. Reta was a very gentle, caring person, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who spent most of her life as a homemaker but also worked at Villa Saint Joseph du Lac, Yarmouth as a care giver. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater and also attended the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. She is survived by her four sons: Robert (Gaile), Bridgewater; Donald (Marlene), Conquerall Bank; Douglas (Joan), Middle Sackville; Arthur (Suzanne), Terrace, BC; one daughter Linda (Dale) McComiskey, Cambridge Kings Co.; sisters: Florence Corkum, Hillside Pines for Special Care, Bridgewater; Geneva Lockhart, Halifax; Leah Randall, Bridgewater; Arlene Snyder, Pleasantville; sister-in-law Edythe Brown, Upper Clements; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Arthur; two sisters, Viola and Grace and one brother Willard; one granddaughter, Edith; one great grandson, Benjamin; one great granddaughter, Brianna and one great great granddaughter Allisia. The family would like to thank Dr. Crystal Todd for all she has done for our mom. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service as requested by the deceased. A private family service with internment will be held at the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater with Rev. Alvin McComiskey officiating.
