Bruce Alden Rhodenizer
92 of Farmington entered into eternal rest on Friday 14 November 2008 at his home in Farmington, Lunenburg County. He was born in Lunenburg on 5 April 1916 and was the only son to the late Wilson and Eurith Rhodenizer. Bruce was a veteran of World War 2 having served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Northern Europe. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 102, New Germany. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Keeping); son Byron (Kay) Rhodenizer, Lower Sackville; grandchildren Leanne, Bruce, Robbie and Glena; great grandchildren Shane, Renne, Matthew and new baby Grace. Bruce was predeceased by his step son Glenn Dillon. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 PM, with a public Legion Tribute Service at 7 PM, Tuesday 18 November in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, # 4895 highway 10, New Germany and from where the Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday 19 November, Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Burial will follow at 2PM in the William Black Cemetery in Seabright. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society.
