Obituary of Jean Winifred Publicover

Publicover, Jean Winifred – Age 99 of Crescent Beach, passed away on March 3, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Dagley) Burke.

Jean was a lifelong member of the Emerald Rebekah Lodge, Chapter 66, the Royal Purple Lodge and the Presbyterian Church of West Dublin. She was also a long time member of the church choir of West Dublin.  She is survived by her daughters, Verlene Wambolt (Don), Bridgewater; Marcella Joudrey (Larry), Greenfield; sisters, Marguerite Corkum, Mount Pleasant; Ruth Fraser, Ontario;  seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, Dawson Publicover; sons, Buddy Publicover and Marshall Publicover; granddaughter in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
