Obituary of Douglas Robert McKoen

McKOEN, Douglas Robert – Age 76 of Springfield, Annapolis County, passed away on March 12, 2020, at the South Shore Regional, Bridgewater. Born in Kingston, Ontario on October 20, 1943, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Grimwood) McKoen.

Douglas was a retired Naval Communications Officer of the RCN for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Selig) McKoen; daughters, Wendy McKoen (Terry Veinot), Upper Tantallon; Sandy McKoen, Springfield; son, Steven (Kelly) McKoen, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Clayton, Lucas, Matthew, Daniel, Gabriel, Maeve and Sayer; great grandson, Ryder; sisters, Cathy (Rick) Taylor, Bracebridge, Ontario and Marianne (Paul) Walling, Calgary, Alberta; brother John McKoen, Barrie, Ontario. He was predeceased by a granddaughter at birth, Gwen Hope Lohnes.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Hwy 10 New Germany. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers only please.
