Obituary of Audrey Florence Lohnes
LOHNES, Audrey Florence – Age 88, of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in East Dalhousie, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Hattie (Feindel) Veinotte.
Audrey was a retired employee of the former New Germany Fruit Company; she was a member of Epworth United Church, New Germany and a charter member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, branch 102, New Germany. Audrey was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Lemuel J. Lohnes; daughters, Linda Drew, Berwick; Mildred Lohnes-Rhodenizer (Willis), Watford; Gwenn Hebb (Darrell), Bridgewater; Ivy Lowe (Richard), Meisners Section; Iris Burke (David), Chester Basin; son, Reid Lohnes, East Uniacke; grandchildren, Burke Rhodenizer (Sara), Jolani Rhodenizer, Adam Aulenback (Sandrella), April Morris (Matt), Reba Colp (William), Danielle Lowe, Darius Joudrey, Shelley Drew Robertson (Sidney), Darren Drew (Marrianne), Shawn Drew (Laurie), and Ralph, Scott, Jennifer, Rebecca, Gordon Williamson; great-grandchildren, Mason, Tucker, Jasmine, Katherine, Lincoln, Melody, Justin, Devon, Kira, and Lexie; great-great grandchildren, Scarlett and Lola; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by daughters Lillian and Edith; brothers, Cecil, Harold, Owen, Lloyd, Lyman, and Murray Veinotte; sisters, Ernestine Veinotte, Violet Meldrum, Gladys Weagle, Alma Bezanson, and Daphne Tupper; half-brother, Eldie Acker; half-sisters, Myrna Veinotte, Elsie Daniels, and Wilma Robar; sons-in-law, Arnold Joudrey and Errol Hebb.
No visitation by request. While respecting the social and physical distancing requirements, a public graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020 in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany, Rev. David Lutes officiating. (For your own benefit you may consider a mask for safety and a chair for comfort)
