To all members of Janetta's family, Sincere sympathy to all in this time of sorrow...
You will not remember me, but as a Barss Corner schoolgirl and lifetime resident, Janetta's days
here are vivid in my memory, and we followed our friendship to the very last years...of late often
at the same hairdresser in Bridgewater. Her friendly personality, infectious laughter, and common
love of her homeland made conversations pleasant and I shall miss her presence here on earth.
She lived long and well, cherish your memories. God comfort and keep you.

Deepest condolences to all of you at this sad time.
I feel so lucky to have spent many hours with Janetta over the last few years. I really enjoyed the stories and memories she shared about her life and growing up with my mom.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of the many weekends spent at the homestead in Albany New. There are many photos of that time and much on the Powers Family Movie. That galvanized wash tub in the driveway was an Olympic pool to us kids! There was always a lot of fun and laughter!
I feel so blessed to have grown up in such happy times and so enjoyed times spent with Powers family !
Looking forward to the time when it is safe for us all to get together again !

I knew Janetta long ago when we both worked at The Bridgewater Bulletin. I can still hear her infectious laugh. She was a lovely lady. For many years, one of my favourite recipes was what I called Janetta's chicken (she gave me the recipe). I shall fondly remember her.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Janetta’s passing. Many fond memories as a child with our visits. Always lots of good food and good fun. We last visited with her when she was in the apartment on Victoria Road. She had such a positive attitude and was exactly as I remembered her. Full of fun and always interested in other people.
