Obituary of David Eric Dearden
DEARDEN, David Eric – With great sadness, I announce the passing of my husband David “Dave” Eric Dearden on January 25, 2021 at the age of 60. Born in Daysland, Alberta, Dave was a son of the late William Eric Dearden and Barbara Dearden. Surviving is his loving wife of 23 years, Della; daughter Christina Morgenstern; son, Zachary Bedard; grandchildren, Rhiannon Dearden, Danyl Dearden, Gavin Morgenstern; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Cameron) Macza, Tammy (Ron) Mitrusky; nephew, Steven Mitrusky. Besides his parents, Dave was predeceased by his grandmother, Ila Dearden; aunt and uncle, Hope and Jim Dearden, Edmund, and Audrey Dearden; father and mother-in-law, Mike, and Helen Macza.
Dave grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where he met and married his wife, Della and they resided for 19 years before moving to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia (5 years in May 2021). Dave was a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse / Orthotech for 23 years. He enjoys woodworking, looking for sea glass on the beach, helping his neighbors, teaching new staff, including doctors, and of course, watching his favorite CFL team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Dave was always up for a good laugh and one could say that he had a dry sense of humor that some people had a hard time understanding. Dave always showed love for animals and would do anything he could for them.
There is no service planned at this time. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Red Cross, Bridgewater office or the Pick Of The Litter Society, Halifax.
