Sandra and family,
I enjoyed and respected Ann. A subtle guidance, humour, reflective but yet welcoming of what was to come. Your mom /grandmother had grace and honour. I used to sit, watch and listen to Ann, Ruby, Dorle and so many others during GGC meetings/get togethers. I hope we have listened well to those women who have gone before us and learned from them. I so remember Ann’s hospitality when we visited. Whether it was “Store” business, Girl Guide business or family gatherings, she was always such a gracious host. It was due to those visits that I grew a strong appreciation for New Germany. To me, and I know I can speak for many, she was a gifted woman who often put the needs of others before her own.
