My sincere condolences to you Ellen and your families. I didn't know of Doug's passing until I was looking up some information. I enjoyed working with you both and still hold dear the Bridgewater home history book he gave me.

Dear Ellen and family ,
I was fondly thinking of Doug the other day, we were former co-workers at AGT/TELUS Mobile Communications. When I started AGT in 1979 Doug took me under his wing, I always appreciated his kindness and patience he showed me while I was on my steep learning curve when I first started the department. Doug was a pleasure to work with ... he had a great sense of humour, a great work ethic , and was respected by all his co-workers.
When Doug retired and moved to Nova Scotia we always exchanged Christmas cards making a point to stay in touch. With email and social media I made a decision that I was not going to send out Christmas cards, and we lost touch.
I thought I would check Google to locate and contact Doug and Ellen and much to my dismay and sadness I found that Doug had passed.
I hold on to those special memories of our working times at AGT mobile Communications back in the day.
My sincere condolences to Ellen and family members, may the love and support of each other help you deal the difficult days ahead.
Hugs,
Carolyn McDonald

Ellen,
So sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Getting to know both of you through ukulele was a great pleasure. You and your family are in my heart and mind. What the two of you shared was truly something special. You loved each other so well. Losing the one you love is so hard. And so I’m praying for you—for peace, for comfort, for whatever you need right now.

To Ellen, and your entire blended family, Bernie and I are sending our sincere condolences. Our lives were all made richer by Doug's presence. During the past 16 years we made so many special memories through our friendship, music, and social events. His life experiences, many talents, and complete devotion to his family and friends made him very interesting, knowledgeable, and, most of the time, lots of fun.
So, once again, we are sending you our love and condolences. We will cherish our memories. Rest in peace, Doug.
