Linda, Sheena and family: We are so very sorry to hear about Dennis's passing and our hearts go out to you. I have spent a lot of time today thinking about and remembering all the things that Dennis and I had done together both at work and at play. "Dennis, my friend, you were annoying as hell when you got your teeth set into something and you just would not give it up, but you pretty much always came out a winner. We had a lot of good times, lots of laughs, got into some scrapes together and you have left so many, many good memories, rest easy my friend.
Hugs and love to you all, David and Elizabeth (Robinson)

Sincere condolences to Linda, Sheena, and the Steeves family. Ann and I first met Dennis and Linda while they were posted to Sydney Sub-Division. We were neighbours and pioneers on the New Boston Rd. Dennis and I enjoyed a few pops during our brief stint as neighbours in New Boston. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

He was an amazing man and father. He was so generous but made you learn something through his generosity too. I still remember him agreeing to fix the oil leak in my car but he handed me the tools and supervised the job till he realized the extent of my ineptitude. LOL Had I known I was doing the work with his tools I would have dressed differently that day.
He always made me laugh. I’ll never forget the time he showed me his race car. Hearing that beast purr was something else. As a car geek at the time, it brought me to tears. He found that hilarious.
My deepest condolences to Sheena (Joby) and Linda. He was a great man and the world is a “little less than” because he’s gone.

Sincere condolences to Dennis' family.
I met Dennis during his second career; he drove me to school for years when I was in elementary and junior high. I introduced myself to Dennis as a very young child by climbing up the bus steps and saying, "Hi, I'll be seeing you every day. I'm Jenn with 2 'n's". He didn't miss a beat and immediately replied, "Well, I'm Dennis with 2 'n's". From there, I got to see Dennis' dry sense of humour. His humour was always on full display whenever it was report card day at school. He usually wouldn't let me on the bus until he had "reviewed" my report card. Fortunately, I was a strong student, but he always gave me a (very!) stern look no matter what my grades were. Once even told me to "pull up [my] socks" before returning my report card to me. This "pull up your socks" line led to such laughter in my family that it lived on for years, including when I graduated with my Ph.D. I like to think, even in just this one comment, his spirit lives on, even when he is missed.
