Obituary of Helen Bolivar
Bolivar, Helen – age 86 of Caledonia, passed away April 10, 2021 in North Queen’s Nursing Home, Caledonia. Born November 19, 1934 in Lake Centre, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Minnick) Slauenwhite. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Wilfred) Carter, Conquerall Mills; granddaughter, Candice Carter (Jamey Silver), Conquerall Mills; grandson, Justin Carter, Alberta; great-granddaughter, Piper Mae Silver; nieces, Bonnie, Betty, Mary Anne, and Valerie. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Bolivar, brother, Earl, and a brother in infancy.
Helen enjoyed attending church services and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She had a life-long love of baking and was fond of going to community dances. She was very close with her cousin, Marion and spent long hours in conversation with her on the phone.
A private family gathering to celebrate Helen’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
