I wish that I had had the chance to tell Ludwig now, in person, just what a huge influence he had on me both as a designer and as a young man. He was inspiring, and tough, demanding but compassionate and always extremely generous with his knowledge, his wisdom, his wit and his amazing stories. I truly enjoyed my time with him as a student in design at NSCAD, but also I enjoyed how he formed real friendships with his students. He really cared, and I’ve carried that influence with me my entire life. I’m grateful to have known him and to have benefited from his teaching and his friendship. Ludwig, thank you.
