Sad to read about Wally’s passing. He was a great gentleman and friend. We worked together at FBDB in Chatham (1979-1983). Kept in touch after he moved to White Rock. His life touched many, he was very principled, ethical with many great stories from an interesting life. RIP Wally, you will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the family of Walter Dore. I didn’t know Walter well, but after I became a bdc Pensioners’ Association Director for Nova Scotia, he reached out to me by phone. We then had several phone conversations and I found Walter to be such a lovely man with wonderful and interesting stories, and obviously an interesting life. I wish I had gotten to know him better. Rest In Peace, Walter.

We are saddened at the passing of our dear friend of 50+ years. When we moved into our new home on Doull Avenue, Halifax in 1967, Barb, Wally and their children were the first to welcome us. The older Dore kids became our first babysitters.
Together we became part of that special neighbourhood and ULDSAS. These neighbours became very close friends even though households moving across the country. Years later we were happy to visit with Barb and Wally in their beautiful BC home and enjoy their generous hospitality. And more recently we delighted in meeting with Wally, Val and Mike for lunch at Swiss Chalet in Bridgewater.
Wally will always be remembered as a kind gentleman who loved and cared for his family, friends and neighbours.
Rest In Peace dear friend. John and Pat Wentzell

I knew Walter from coming in to our dental office. He was such a gentleman & always had a kind word to share or a story from his life. He was one of a kind from a generation we could all learn to act more like. - Natalie Penney

I have wonderful memories of my Uncle Wally. He was my Godfather and he made me feel very special. No matter where he lived he always kept in touch with phone calls and birthday cards and visits. He loved his family so very much and made friends wherever he went. I will miss him dearly.
Love you Uncle Wal.❤️

I’m so sorry to hear of Wally’s passing. He and I would always have nice conversations when he would come into the office to book a trip. He became good friends with my mom, Norma Bushen, while at Drumlin Hills. They played many scrabble and card games together over the years. I’m sure they’re now playing again and having many laughs. I know you will miss your dad just as I am missing my mom. Take care and God Bless.
