Our heartfelt condolences to dear Clare and the Archibald family.
We feel honored to have had a close relationship with Joel over many years and we’re fortunate to share many celebrations, social visits, dinners, beach trips, sailing trips and laughs. Joel was often there to help us with a problem, mechanical often, but others as well. He was a wonderful friend who reminded me a little of my father and brother. He was patient, warm and gentle and we are thankful for the many memories we now carry with us of the life we shared with him and a life well lived. For us expats he was family. Helen and Dave(Ferns).

My condolences to the Archibald family on Joel's passing. Joel was my first boss when I joined Michelin at the Granton plant back in 1977. I had a great deal of respect for him during my first years at Granton, prior to moving to the Waterville facility in 1982. He treated his employees with a great deal of professionalism and I was impressed by that. His activities with Engineers Nova Scotia was an example to me for my future participation in that association. Conrad LeLièvre P.Eng. New Minas.

Dear Clare and Family,
So sorry to hear of Joel’s passing.
I have a great memory of him and it was during race week in Chester when we won our division sailing Nimbus.
Dave Hyson was aboard and I think John joined us for a race. We won because of the skippers starts. At the starting gun , Joel hit that line at top speed each time.
He was a great guy and will be missed.
Sincerely
Greg Crouse
