Our thoughts are with you and your family, Penny. Doug was a wonderful man and friend. Always managed to make people laugh. I can still hear him say, “Dula, you’re cleared to land on 24”. Right back atcha Doug.

One of the very pleasant memories I have of Doug and Penny: Doug and I took our respective girl friends out for their first game of golf at the Woodlands Golf course just north of the Toronto Airport. After struggling for 9 holes, the ladies had had enough. I don't know about Penny but that was Joan's last game of golf.
I knew Doug very early in our careers with Air Traffic Control, both in the Terminal Control areas and the Tower @ Toronto Pearson. He was always the professional. always cool under pressure and a great friend. We kind of lost contact when the Jaworski's headed down east, but I'll always think of Doug as a great friend. Doug, you will be missed
DEAR PENNY AND FAMILY: DONNIE AND I WERE SADDENED TO HEAR OF DOUG’S PASSING. WE SO ENJOYED ENJOYED GOLFING WITH HIM AT OSPREY. I TOLD DOUG HE WAS THE ONLY GUY I EVER GOLFED WITH THAT WOULD PUTT ON WITH A CIGAR IN HIS MOUTH. WHAT A LAUGH WE WOULD HAVE. ALSO HE WAS THE MOST RELAXED GOLFING I EVER PLAYED WITH AND SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SWING. MAY THE FOND MEMORIES YOU HOLD DEAR COMFORT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AT SUCH A DIFFICULT TIME.

I was very saddened to hear of dear Doug’s death and I send my love and sincere condolences to you all ..Both David and I always enjoyed our many ,many happy times shared with you and Doug . He was indeed one of the Great Guys !

Tp Penny and Family! I was so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I met you and Doug not long ago and had the opportunity for a nice chat. It will be a nice memory. He was a friendly and positive person and I enjoyed golfing with him in Florida. His golf swing was something to be envied. My sincerest condolences to you all. Ross Lee
Penny, I was so sorry to learn of Doug’s passing. My first encounter with him was during my days at Osprey Ridge. And it was so nice seeing you both from time to time here at The Residence. Every time I met him here he sincerely was interested in how I was doing and always with that warmest of smiles. I extend my deepest condolences to you and the family for your loss.

Dear Penny and family, I was saddened to hear of Dougs passing. Although our paths crossed fairly late in life, I always enjoyed our periodic "catch ups" discussing all things Lunenburg. A bright, fit man with a sense of humour and that twinkle in his eye, is how I will fondly remember Doug.
