Joyce, Donnie, and Scott, Please accept Marg and my deepest condolences at this very sad time. Growing up, Don was always Donnie's Dad to me. He was someone who always knew stuff and was patient with me always being around. As I grew older and saw more of the world, when we had the chance to talk, I always admired Don's wisdom, kindness, and pride in his family. It is with these memories in mind that I will always fondly remember Donnie's Dad.

Joyce (or should I say "Mama Joyce?) and family - may the knowledge that a life lived long and well, lives on in all of you, serve you in this time. I have thought of you and Don often since you have moved, and have missed your friendship, patronage, and gentle guidance. You both sort of "adopted" me in early practice, on a professional and personal level, and it has made me a better practitioner and member of the community - albeit sometimes with a hangover after your many invitations and/or a bottle of Don's homemade plon.....er, wine. I also used Don's epic story of his "first day at Michelin" as a template for my first visit to France (minus one or two......details). Don's humour, kindness, teaching skill, passion for detail, and ethics are but a few of the values I try to carry in practice and in life. You have been blessed to have had him for a lifetime. Peace.
