I would like to send my condolences to Denise and family. I can remember meeting Shawn, when I would took my daughter to Denise for music lessons and from there I started Plowing their driveway for 20 plus years. He would come out to talk to me as he moved the vehicle. I enjoyed your conversation. Went to dances with them and I would see him several times and talk to him as he was renting my old shop on York St. Deepest sympathy gone too soon.

Dear Denise. I cannot imagine how much pain and sadness you must be experiencing right now. It's taken me 10 days to write to you. Shawn was your rock; your heart and soul. He will have left you with an incomprehensible void. He's also left you with so many memories and a lot of love. He has always been larger than life.
I've known him always and cannot imagine that he's no longer with us. Our families have been together since before either he or I were born. I will remember the corn boils, lobster dinners and playing hide and seek in the dark. I will always remember being pulled out of bed in our pajamas, the car ride over the two hills between our houses and being tucked back into bed with the Allen family or vice-versa.
I remember the day his Dad died and how it changed their lives. Delma was a wonderful Mom and she raised a wonderful man. I know they were waiting for him, even if it was too soon.
You're in my thoughts and prayers. If there's anything we can do, please, let us know.

I'm very sad to see the community lose Shawn. His incredible energy, curiosity and support of others will be a significant loss to Bridgewater. I met Shawn on my return to Bridgewater in 2000 when he became a regular customer at Crafter's Corner and our first guest Celebrity Chef, then at Cardinal where despite me working at Cumings' he was always respectful and friendly, and the business community where we constantly crossed paths. Denise, I'm heartbroken for you as I know how tight you two were, and I am sending big hugs your way. He will be missed dearly for the impact he had on many. My condolences to his many friends and family. Behind the sadness are his huge smile and a big laugh.
