Obituary of Clarence Eugene Ernst

ERNST, Clarence Eugene – Age 71, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., died unexpectantly along with his wife, Toni Lorraine (Wile) Ernst on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Maitland, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Clarence was born on September 29, 1951 in Bridgewater to the late Kenneth Owen and Rita Minnie (Slauenwhite) Ernst.

Clarence was employed during his working years in the construction business.

Surviving is his son, Ryan (Tasha) Ernst, and grandson, Gabriel Ernst all of Eastern Passage; sister, Shirley (Stewart) Dauphinee of Maitland; brother, Rex (Susan) Ernst, Dayspring; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Wendell, Jamie, Cheryl, Annette, Elaine and Darren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Judy Lohnes and Marjorie Ernst.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 28 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. Service of Remembrance for Clarence and Toni will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, June 29 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 Phoenix Street, Bridgewater, with Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
