My dear friend, I was just a girl when we met. I was hired at Mahone Nursing Home and with your guidance and sensibility I learned to enjoy working there. Your respect for seniors in vulnerable situations imprinted on me for the rest of my life. This is just one of the invisible gifts you gave to the world. I am sure there are countless more. My dear good friend, my best friend! Distance separated us but memories lived on and we always found a way to connect. Our childhood years in St . Jacques we both treasured, learning to ride our bikes together, riding up and down the lane in the back of dad's first truck as he learned to drive, sliding down the horse cart and you finding a huge wood splinter to send you off to a doctor for removal, so many meals at Uncle and Auntie's house, I could rhyme off your grace before meals as well as my own, still can, as teens our excitement when the Belleoram boys came up and the crushes we had, oh the memories, all the more vivid right now! But the hurt in my heart is surpassed by the wonderful gift of growing up in a beautiful and cherished friendship. To you Roger and your family my husband Frank and I offer you our heartfelt sympathy. We are sure this woman has left all of you with cherished memories to ease the pain of her passing.
