Obituary of Barrie James Himmelman

HIMMELMAN, Barrie James – passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the age of 76 at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany.

Bubby started his life sealing at the age of 15 years old. From there he went out on the scallop boats until he got hurt in 2001. He was a hard-working man. He loved going up on the hill and talking to all his friends. He loved his little dog, Tina, now he is with her. He also loved his granddaughters dog, Karma.

Bubby will be missed by his wife of 54 years Virginia “Ginny”, who was with him every day at the nursing home. He will also be missed by his two children, son, Todd and daughter, Christine, along with his three grandchildren, Chasitie , Chevelle and Kirsten, which Bubby loved all very much.

I would like to thank all the staff at Rosedale Home for Special Care for all the care they gave Bubby from the time he came to the home until the time he left.

There will be no funeral service by request. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany.
