Dear Melanie and Cecil, I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Robert's passing. He was such a kind uncle and I loved my visits with him and with Cecilia when she was alive. I loved the tractor rides, picking cranberries, how kind he was to me during my own dad's passing, the twinkle in his eye when he was teasing me, the family dinners. Remember those old clam bakes down at the point, so many years ago? I do. My heartfelt sympathies to you guys. He was a great man.

Heartfelt condolences to the Haughn family. I feel fortunate to have met Robert and Cecelia when we moved here in the early 90s. I could always turn to them to connect with the community. Robert always brought leftover sandwiches and sweets to the hospital staff working midnights from the firehall meetings and card games. He even fried hamburgers at switchboard at the old Dawson. He was a great guy and will be fondly remembered. Kathy Jo Rumbolt

To Robert’s family, Sincere heartfelt condolences to Robert’s family. I have very fond memories of Robert when he worked at the Dawson. If I was called in to emergency blood work, and Robert was working he would often show up in the lab to see if everything was ok and if I was hungry or needed a bit to eat, they always had something cooking in their department. He did this for everyone, such a warm and caring man. You have great memories that will live on forever in your hearts. Sincerely Claire Wentzell

Lots of great memories of Robert over the years. He always had such great stories , especially of his teenage years and some of the mischievous things he and some of his friends took part in. All in good fun, and to provide entertainment and humor as he re-canted his tales. I made regular visits over the years and considered he and Cecilia family. During evening visits, we watched Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and America Says with lots of chatter during commercials. You will be missed Robert and remembered for all the love, kindness, and joy you brought to all those around you. Rest in peace dear friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. There were many laughs and happy conversations with Robert over the years at work at the DMH and SSRH. Food was often involved. He was such a nice calm person and always so friendly. He made the evening shifts so much more enjoyable. He will be missed by many. My thoughts are with his family. Jean

Robert was such a prankster. I was working one day and he jumped out of a corner i screamed, he covered my mouth and threw me in a room, laughing so much coworkers came to look to see what was happening, you had to keep an eye on him. When Jim and I had our first child the nurse put Jim in charge of bringing her to our room, Jim and the baby disappeared and were found down the hall chatting with Robert.
