Please accept our most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Bob. For as long as I can remember, Mr. Mercer was member of the original gang down at Lakeland Retreats and a close family friend for over 40 years. Such a generous man, he was always hosting us for boat rides, barbecues, 4-wheelering…you name it. He’d have my kids over swimming at his lake, as well as hosting the annual “Corn Boil”. Often, if not always, the first one to lend a hand, Bob was always around when you needed help or a tool. If he wasn’t working on your cottage, he was working on someone else’s…or at least he was taking credit for it lol. He was the life of the party and had the best and loudest laugh. Continually chucking sh.t at anyone or everyone (including people he just met) he was fun to be around and was wonderful example of a great father, husband and neighbour. I can’t remember too many times when Bob wasn’t part of a story down at the lake. Our deepest sympathies to the family - we too will miss him very much. Fair winds and following seas Bob.

Our sincere condolences to the family and extended families. Bob was a great guy to all who knew him, a great friend. He was a guy who would lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Tony knew Bob and Dot since they built their home on Beaver Tail, and that was many years ago. Every Christmas morning when they vacationed the Winters in Florida, Bob would call Tony to wish him a Merry Christmas. Great guy and a dear friend. Rest in Peace Bob.

Our deepest sympathy to Bob's family. I will always remember our chats at the mailbox as we met there often on our ATV'S. He was always a ray of sunshine with his little grin and friendly manner. God bless, Wade and Jane Joudrey.
