Obituary of Ruby Anita Matheson

Ruby Anita Matheson (Perry) 96, passed away peacefully At South Shore Regional Hospital January 11, 2024.  Ruby was born on September 17, 1927, to Harry (Lighthouse Keeper) and Nellie Perry on Cape Negro Island Shelburne Co. She was the last member of the Perry family.  Ruby was a wife and mother.  She was soft spoken, kind, and friendly.  She loved to read, do puzzles, embroidery and watching Blue Jays Baseball and going to the Casino.  She spent many years in Montreal where she brought up her 2 daughters and 1 son.  Ruby is survived by her three children, Audrey ( Husband Chas), Marsha, and Gerald; 3 Grandchildren, Myranda Miller, Liam, and Robyn;  Great Grandson (whom she adored) Simon Miller; Special Neice Bonnie, and many more nieces, nephews, step brother Curt, and former son-in-law Keith MacDonald.  Ruby was preceded by her husband of 74 years, Chesley Matheson; parents Harry and Nellie Perry; sisters Doris, Marion, Marjorie, Bertha, and brothers Keith, Cecil and Rodney.  May the Lighthouse Light shine bright and guide you to your final destination.  We love you Mom, safe journey.
