Obituary of Norma Rose Slauenwhite

SLAUENWHITE, Norma Rose – Age 86, Oakhill, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where she had been residing. Born February 27, 1937 in Camperdown, she was a daughter of the late Allan Harold and Laura Grace (Zwicker) Wamboldt.

She lived a good life as a stay-at-home mother. She loved gardening, reading and loved to laugh. She will be missed and remembered with a smile by those who knew her.

Surviving are her sons, David (Lorna), Dartmouth; Paul (Rose), Rose Bay and daughter, Donna (Kevin) Hyson, Bridgewater.

She was predeceased by sons, Richard and Mark; sisters, Alice McConnell and Ruth Faulkenham; and brother, Ivan Wamboldt.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A private family graveside service will take place in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Upper LaHave. No flowers please, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater.
