So sorry to hear of Mervin's passing. His suffering is over and he is in the arms of our Lord for sure. He was a good friend and a hard worker who would immediately come to Calvin's aid whenever something went wrong with the boat. We were very lucky to have him. Our sincere condolences to all of his family. ~MaryAnn and Calvin Bennett

Uncle Mervin, what can I say? The love for your family, your larger then life laugh, knuckles hitting the table when a card game got a bit intense, jack of all trades, what’s the point in doing something if you’re not going to do it right the first time (and finish the project before you start the next)?
I didn’t have to worry about Dad if you were at camp with him. If the 2 of you couldn’t figure it out, it was a lost cause. One more recent memory...Dad’s was at camp in a wind storm...his first call was to Uncle when his ladder fell of the roof stranding him, Uncle wasn’t home, so I was second best, however I did get a hold of you and you beat me there by minutes. You could always be counted on for a rescue mission, didn’t matter the dumbassery (like being on a roof in a wind storm) that caused the needed rescue.
You will be missed, the world doesn’t seem right without you here, until we meet again.

A wonderful personality, a dry sense of humour and a very knowledgeable individual. That is how I remember Mervin from my years of working with him at Michelin. He will missed by all. My condolences to all the family.

Shirley &Family,
Remember Mervin and lots of good times when we used to camp at Ponhook. Also knew him through his work at Steel and Engines. Best man for working on Wagner Autopilot and in my opinion the only man who could repair one.
