Arnold Knickle

Obituary of Arnold Gerald Knickle

Knickle, Arnold Gerald Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Arnold (Arnie, Junior) at home in Conquerall Bank on March 5, 2024.  He was born to Arnold Sr., and Alice Knickle of Blockhouse on July 24, 1955.

Arnold started his plumbing career in Halifax almost 50 years ago, and shortly after became self-employed. He took pride in his work, always making sure it was neat and tidy.

He loved being outdoors, working in the yard or plowing snow with his tractor (Little Harry). He always had an idea for a new project around the property.

He was always there to lend a helping hand. He would do anything for anyone, even without them asking.

He enjoyed family and friend get togethers, ice cream parties, decorating the float for the parade, decorating his “rock” for occasions for everyone to enjoy, dressing up for Halloween and a good laugh, even at the expense of someone else when he played a trick on them. And of course, his never-ending love of Fords, his true passion.

Surviving are his common-law wife, Heather Wolfe; daughter Nicole (Chad) Sperry; mother Alice Knickle; sisters, Elizabeth (Arnold) Mosher; Heather Knickle (Jay Haas), and brother Darrell (Rosalie) Knickle; several nieces and nephews, and extended family. He is predeceased by his father and best friend, Arnold Sr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service held at this time.  Online condolences and donations may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
