Barb was a neighbour who welcomed us warmly. She told me so much about the cove and I really enjoyed my rare visits with her. I saw her at Southshore Hospital a few times and she always had a smile. Susan, Paul and Families: We are thinking of you as you remember and honour your precious loved one. Barbara was a strong, beautiful soul who managed her challenges amazingly. We find comfort in the wonderful visit we had with her last summer at her beautiful home location at Bell's Cove. As well, we visited her in hospital some weeks ago ---- she was elated (as always) to have visitors. We loved talking with her and hearing her "on top" of subjects, dates and interests ----- a very sharp lady in her longevity! Your loving support was always present. I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara when she was a roommate with my mother in the South Shore Regional Hospital. As often happens, mom was moved to another room but the connection and visits with Barbara continued. She oozed personality, positivity and absolutely no self-pity. What a gem Barbara was. One of my best memories will be Barbara, Julia and Mom 'hanging out' in Barbara's room - having their lunch and celebrating my mom's 88t birthday. Rest easy Barbara. Mom was only a day behind you.

Susan, Paul and all your family,
We are so sorry that your Mom has passed. Such a great lady and a good friend to so many. We will miss hearing of her chats with our Mom and the news they exchanged. We often said that if we didn't know the latest news we would get our Mom to ask Barbara. A life well lived, she will be missed by us all. Our condolences to all your family.

We’re sorry about Barbs passing but so happy she didn’t die in pain. we have wonderful memories of the time we spent as neighbors in Bells cove. our girls and grandchildren loved their visits with her. Barbara was a wonderful neighbour when my late husband Ty, my daughter Kristina and I lived in Bell's Cove. I am so grateful that our friendship continued long after we moved. I was fortunate to be invited to Barbara's birthday gatherings where she was Queen for a day. Such good memories.
