I remember John and Judy from High School. Great people from a nice family. I grew up in West Dublin and have fond memories of all my High School connections. Sincere sympathy to all of John's family. John's Mom Kaye was a friend of my mother-in-law Alma Hiltz of LaHave.

Dear Kathy,
So sad that John had to leave this world the way he did but we know he is walking and running freely with no pain and a big smile on his face.Kathy you made his last years on this earth bearable and he could have not had a better partner and caregiver. The fun times you gave him in his last years will always be in your heart and his.The big guy had a good life filled with all the nature, fishing, hunting and woodland fun and work any good Lunenburg County boy could dream of. He is resting easy now and our prayer is that you may start to have some rest in the new journey without John that you are about to embark on.
All our love and hugs to you our brave sister❤️

Our deepest condolences, cousin John was a kind and gentle man with a big heart. We enjoyed many family gatherings at my mom and dad’s and large family picnic’s on Risser’s Beach when I was younger. He loved bowling night with my dad and Kevin and always made the time to talk and have fun. My grandfather talked often of their time on the railroad and shared a lot of stories.
Rest easy John, love Melanie and Kevin Keddy.

John was a very good friend over many years. In some research I was doing in the 90's on salmon fishing in the Petite I sought him out and visited many times to hear his stories. We walked Rissers together at sunrise for many years. Yes, he was a man of few words, but good and true company always. I kept in touch with 'Grumps' ,as I nicknamed him, though I moved away. I shall miss him, and miss especially his friendship and humour. Kathy looked after him with great compassion in his final time with us.

To John’s family,
I met John in the early seventy’s when I went to work at CN and we would see each other coming and going and sometimes would have the privilege of working on the same train together. John was a gentleman to work with or just be with off the job. He took his job seriously but was always ready to have some fun on the side. John was a very kind and gentle person that was always ready to help or give good safe advice to his co workers . I will always remember the good trips we worked together out of Bridgewater to Halifax and Yarmouth. We worked safe but had time for some hunting and fishing stories.
Rest in peace my friend ,,,, John had a wonderful career as a Conductor and has yarded his last train in his home terminal.
Your friend

Kathy, Compassionate sympathy to a dedicated partner and care giver who was a lifeline for a man who once loved life and its many activities. You will have memories of the wonderful scenery enjoyed when you took John for drives, the music jam sessions and other ways you used to ease the years of poor health that confined him to his home. May good memories rise to bless you as God walks beside you to guide and comfort you.
In loving sympathy, Marlean (Rhodenizer)and family

It was a sad morning to see of John's passing today. All through high school we were best friends and young loves. So glad he had such a loving partner as he surely deserved that. Know how much you will miss that dear man. Sending hugs your way. Cherish your memories, I do. Mary Zinck ( formerly Mary Jo Michaelsen of Petite Rivere.)
