Obituary of Robert Gordon Harper
HARPER, Robert Gordon - It is with immense sadness the family of Robert Gordon Harper of Martins Point, Nova Scotia announces his peaceful passing at South Shore Regional Hospital Tuesday May 7, 2024.
Born in Toronto, Ontario on December 2nd, 1947, son of the late Gordon and Violet Harper.
Robert worked as a Service Advisor at Toyota many years before his move to Newfoundland to work at Honda until his retirement.
Once retired, Robert moved to Nova Scotia where he enjoyed his many hobbies which included gardening, landscaping, crafts, and fishing along with lots of tinkering. He had the patience of a saint when it came to his many requested projects and help needed by family and friends who loved him. There was an abundance of laughs and ‘what if's’ when buying him very intricate puzzles and crafts for gifts, knowing he would be cursing you in his head but still do them because he knew you would love the end result, and he did too.
Robert will be tremendously missed by his loving wife Sharon; his sons Gordon (Debra) and Norm; daughters Terri Ann (Jimmy) and Cheryl (Chris); stepson Jeffrey (Connie) and stepdaughter Christine (Christopher).; as well as 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Chester Family Practice and South Shore Regional Hospital for his wonderful care during his illness.
A special thank you to his AA friends who became family to him over the years and meant a lot to him. We know he would like to say one final time his favorite words - "One Day At A Time"
In keeping with Roberts wishes there will be no service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
WE WILL MISS YOU FOREVER AND LOVE YOU ALWAYS!
