Obituary of Crystal Joy Walker

In sadness we announce the passing of a loving Mom and Nan, Crystal Joy Walker, age 59, of Cherryfield, Lunenburg County.

She passed away the evening of Saturday, May 11, 2024, surrounded with family and friends in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after a battle with cancer.

As everyone knows she had a passion and deep love for animals of all kinds. She enjoyed walks with her dogs and every minute she spent with all her fur babies.

She enjoyed time spent with her beloved grandson, Dylan and their many explorations and adventures and can’t forget their Saturday night country classics. She loved her music loud and to sing along, usually louder. She loved being outside whether it was walking, fishing, exploring, gardening, or just plain baking in the sun.

She enjoyed working in highway traffic control and in housekeeping, and all the people she met along the way. In retirement, she enjoyed her animals and all her outdoor activities.

She was survived by her son, Donnie, daughter-in-law, Yasmin; and her pride and joy, her grandson, Dylan; nephew, Daimek Walker and niece, Danielle Walker; also, her closest friend, Bev Russell who was there for her and was by her side during her battle with cancer.  

She was predeceased by her sister, Donna Walker; mother and father, Patricia Stewart and Harold Walker; uncle, Brian Stewart.

She will be missed by all ‘til the day we meet again.
